The proposal maintains the established alignments, height and width of the bay since it is considered essential to maintain the unity of the block. However, the proposed volumetry also seeks to break with the monotony that derives from the typological repetition of a closed block, introducing a slight “urban accident”. The proposed block opens without being divided, giving the feeling of being made up of two units. This small operation also achieves other objectives such as facilitating better ventilation of the block patio and increasing the façade surface with the benefits that it will entail in the development of the interior program.
